Why Volta Lane
Why shop with Volta Lane
Specifications you can compare
Every scooter lists the same fields — speed, range, motor, battery, weight, load, brakes, suspension, water resistance — and manufacturer-claimed figures are labelled as such.
Delivery information before you pay
Processing times, delivery estimates and battery shipping rules are published on every product page and on the Shipping & Delivery page.
Parts matched to your scooter
Replacement parts list the exact models they fit. The compatibility finder shows only what has been matched to your scooter — nothing is assumed to be universal.
Help from people who ride
Buying guides, a scooter finder and a comparison tool help you choose; a real person answers questions before and after your order.

- Distance Claimed range ≥ 1.4 × your longest regular day.
- Weight Load rating 15–20 kg above you plus gear.
- Carrying Under 15 kg if it goes up stairs or on trains.
- Terrain 10-inch air tires for city streets; suspension for rough ones.
- Law Buy the speed that is legal where you ride.
Shipping & delivery
Shipping and delivery, explained up front
Processing
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. Scooters are inspected and charged to a safe shipping level before dispatch.
Delivery estimates
Delivery estimates are calculated from the shipping zones configured in WooCommerce and shown at checkout. Typical windows are listed on each product page once your zones are set up.
Tracking
Every shipment receives a tracking number by email as soon as the carrier scans it. Use the Order Tracking page to follow your parcel.
Batteries
Lithium-ion batteries are classed as dangerous goods. Scooters and spare batteries ship by ground or approved carriers only, which can add transit time and limit the destinations we can serve.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right electric scooter?
Start with how far you ride on a typical day, add a 30–40% buffer and look for a manufacturer-claimed range at least that high (real-world range is usually 60–75% of the claim). Then check the maximum rider load against your weight with gear, decide whether you need to carry the scooter (weight and folding), and match the top speed to what is legal where you ride. Our Find Your Scooter tool applies exactly these rules.
How do I know a part fits my scooter?
Every replacement part lists the scooter models it has been confirmed to fit, plus any fitment detail (wheel position, connector type, model year). Use the compatibility finder to see everything matched to your model. If a part does not list your scooter, ask us before ordering.
How should I look after the battery?
Charge with the supplied or an approved charger, avoid storing the scooter fully discharged or at 100% for weeks, keep it out of extreme heat and cold, and charge in a dry place away from flammable materials. Topping up after each ride is fine; most packs are happiest stored around 40–70%.
Is it legal to ride an electric scooter where I live?
Rules differ by country, state and city and change often: some places allow private scooters on roads and cycle lanes with speed limits, some restrict them to private land, and many require lights, a bell and a minimum age. Our blog overview lists sources by region, but you must check the current rules for your location before riding.
What warranty do products carry?
The warranty for a specific product is shown in its specifications. Typical coverage, exclusions and the claims process are explained on the Warranty Information page.
Where do you ship?
To the destinations enabled in our shipping zones — the checkout shows every option and price for your address before you pay. Battery products cannot be shipped everywhere; see the Shipping & Delivery page.
